Our Story
What began as a young woman’s quest to revive the cherished flavors of her childhood has blossomed into Madam Chutney—a spirited celebration of India’s diverse culinary heritage, now thriving in the heart of Munich. Chef and founder Prateek Reen, inspired by both the vibrant street foods and the hearty dishes from her Punjabi household, left behind her corporate boots to bring this vision to life. With a background rooted in a love for art and design and a deep passion for the rich culinary traditions of northern India, Prateek stepped into the kitchen to celebrate the bold, authentic flavors that shaped her upbringing.

Take this from an Indian - the best Indian food I have had in continental Europe basically. Everything was very authentic and had very good portions for 2 people. I absolutely loved the dal makhani and Chloe bhature. Reasonably priced also. And the owner is very very kind! Highly recommend. A v memorable experience !
Amazing and delicious Indian food. This is an perfect restaurant to satisfy your Indian craving. The food is just too good. Service and ambience were excellent. We didn’t had any reservation but we were lucky enough to have a place for us. But I would definately recommend to make a prior reservations before going. Do try pan kulfi it’s just so delicious and mouthwatering
It’s always great to be back here for their amazing and lip smacking food! Their crowd and long waiting lines speak for the food served here. Can easily say it’s the best mid to high price range Indian restaurant in munich.
